Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Good people skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to meet quotas set by supervisor.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donations (sorting/pricing) for store floor, repair area or disposal.
• Accept donations from the general public and distribute to the appropriate area; write receipts as needed.
• Assist in the store with displaying items.
• Drive the truck as assigned after safety training.
• Train and monitor beneficiaries in their work therapy in the warehouse.
• Maintain an attitude of dignity and respect in interpersonal relationships.
• Represent The Salvation Army to customers/donors and answer questions.
• Meet or exceed production quotas as directed by supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Report all accidents involving equipment, injuries or property damage.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on premises.
• Assist in unloading trucks and distribute to appropriate area.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor related to Production Assistant.
