Job summary

The Salvation Army Corp in Wilmington, NC is seeking a part-time Donations/Warehouse Assistant to assist with donation pickups, loading and unloading, and helping the truck driver navigate routes. The role also supports warehouse and thrift-store activities, including sorting, pricing, and display preparation.

No formal education is required and at least six months of lifting experience is expected. A valid state driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six (6) months experience lifting and hauling heavy items such as appliances and furniture.
• Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assists in picking-up donations by riding in a Salvation Army truck and lifting, carrying, and hauling donations into the truck and unloading the same at the warehouse.
• Assists in navigating for the Truck Driver; ensures accountability, security, and safety of the donations when in route.
• Assists in performing work in the thrift/family store and warehouse, including sorting, pricing, stocking and maintaining cleanliness.
