The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store in Lawrence, KS is hiring a Backroom Attendant to support donation processing and back-of-house operations. This role keeps the thrift store running smoothly and supports the ARC mission.

The position offers full- or part-time hours with flexible scheduling, including weekends. You will lift up to 100 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and join a mission-driven team committed to serving the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing one.
• Friendly, dependable, and customer-service oriented.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems in a team setting.
• Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors warmly and assist with unloading donations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe donation area
• Provide donation receipts and collect donor email addresses when applicable
• Sort, load, and unload donated goods according to center policies
• Power sort donations and support production processes (as applicable)
