Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Donation Processing Associate in Illinois. You will greet donors, process donations, and keep the donation area organized while supporting truck loading and pickup logistics.

Hours are 10:00am-4:00pm with weekends and holidays included. This role requires strong English skills, basic computer and math abilities, and reliability for a background check. Up to 28 hours per week with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or current pursuit.
• Good verbal and written English for donor interactions.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide excellent donor service.
• Process and track donations accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized donation area.
• Sort, load, and unload Salvation Army trucks as needed.
• Power sort donations when arriving.
• Support production processes as required.
• Safeguard all donated materials and equipment.
• Report complaints, damage, or injuries in the donation area.
• Guide donors on acceptable materials and information about pickup services.
