Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Kentucky is seeking a Production Clerk in Somerset, KY to assist with the collection, processing, stocking, and sale of donated goods. You will process raw donations for movement to the floor, and may operate a cash register occasionally to support store operations.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, basic math, reliable transportation, and adherence to safety standards as you support textile and houseware merchandising in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to make changes.
• Ability to perform material handling with few restrictions, works with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pick up, handle, inspect and sort varieties of textile and houseware items.
• Ability to lift/carry 30 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability bend, stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally.
• Must follow all safety procedures and correct safety issues, if possible.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Follows all defined safety absolutes.
• Displays great customer service by greeting donors and customers.
• Processes raw donations into sellable merchandise.
• Hang Textile garments according to established procedures
• Keeps areas clean, including inside and outside the store.
• Sorts material as required and stocks material in stores.
• Maintains textile category, sizing and quality of goods on the retail sales floor.
• Arranges shoes, media and accessory items on the retail sales floor.
• Rotates stock in accordance with defined guidelines
• Recovers product on sales floor to ensure established merchandising guidelines
• Prepares material for transportation.
• Performs other duties as assigned,
