Job summary

The Salvation Army in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Donation Attendant to support the Operations team. You will manage donation area, greet donors, issue receipts, and keep paperwork up to date.

This role requires a high school graduate, good communication, and the ability to read and follow instructions. You should be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with donors.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy.
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.).
• Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
• Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
