Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Donation Attendant for the Phoenix Main Store. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves greeting donors, handling donations, and maintaining a tidy donation area in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work with the Retail Team to promote a positive donor experience, complete required paperwork, and support loading donations onto trucks as needed. A high school diploma and ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing proficiency and ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication with management, coworkers, customers, and donors.
• Ability to work as part of a team and deliver friendly donor service.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning the donation trailer/pod area at start and end of shift.
• Assist donors in receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as directed.
• Assist TSA drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Inform Supervisor of supplies needed (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
