Job summary

Goodwill Of The Great Plains in Harrisburg, SD, is seeking a Donation Center Attendant and Processor to provide exceptional customer service, receive donated merchandise, and perform initial presort of materials. The role includes loading, unloading, and moving items within the facility, with possible pallet jack or forklift use after certification.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience in similar setting.
• Must be able to learn to safely operate pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes in policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Price merchandise according to store pricing strategies.
• Meet processing and production goals as assigned.
• Accept donations from the public respectfully and safely.
• Provide excellent customer service and donation receipts.
• Follow store protocol for accepting donated items and inform donors if item cannot be accepted.
• Sort saleable items from unsaleable items and presort donated materials for moving.
