Job summary

Goodwill in Dayton, OH is seeking a Retail Associate to perform sales, accept donations, and price items in line with the Retail Procedures Manual.

You will greet customers, operate the cash register, stock displays, and inspect goods for saleability while maintaining store safety and cleanliness. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior retail or donation handling experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Retail sales experience or cashiering preferred, but not required.
• Box Truck experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Greet customers and maintain a cheerful disposition while serving.
• Maintain a superior level of customer service to meet agency standards.
• Load and sort materials on the trailer according to instructions.
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect donated items to determine saleability.
• Receive and handle donated goods from donors.
• Perform stock duties such as sorting/ hanging garments and stocking shelves.
• Maintain premises according to safety and housekeeping practices.
• Price merchandise according to prescribed criteria.
• Prepare textiles and goods for resale.
• Follow dress code and display a professional image.
