SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Donation Center Associate is responsible for accepting, sorting and organizing items in our warehouse and free store. This role interacts with both the public and internal staff in a service‑oriented way.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

1. Receiving donations, sorting and organizing donations, and working with volunteers.
2. Assisting staff, clients, and volunteers to ensure the Donation Center and Free Store are stocked, organized, and clean.
3. Recording client and product information in a database.
4. Helping individuals who come in to shop at the free store: greeting them, performing a needs assessment, praying with them, helping them shop and checkout.
5. Picking up and delivering goods throughout the Pittsburgh area in our vehicle.

• Participate in the ministry of Light of Life Rescue Mission and walk alongside clients sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through actions and words.
• Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life while following the processes described in the staff handbook.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE

• ServSafe Certified, or ability to obtain.

• Willingness to pray for and love everyone who comes through our doors.
• Driver's license with a clean driving record.
