Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas is seeking a Donation Center Associate to assist contributors with donations, issue receipts, and help move materials within the store or donation center. You will pre-sort items, separate salvage, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires 0–6 months of related experience, strong communication and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training provided in ACE culture and store procedures.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist contributors with donations and issue donation receipts.
• Maintain professional and courteous attitude with customers and co-workers.
• Pre-sort donations and separate salvage items.
• Move materials using hand truck and assist distribution.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the donation area.
• Complete daily/weekly records as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Accepts donations by providing assistance to contributors and issuing donation receipts.2. Maintains a professional and courteous attitude at all times, willing to be flexible and assume new job responsibilities, as needed.3. Commits to self and job improvement and team building.4. Treats every customer and contributor as if they were a GUEST in their home. GUEST stands for Greet, Understand, Explain, Suggest and Thank.5. Pre-sort donations, separates salvage and removes.6. Uses hand truck to move materials around donation center and/or moves materials within the store as needed.7. Accepts donations of good quality and politely refuses unacceptable items.8. Pre-sorts donations by established categories and safely packs for transport.9. Helps to unload unfinished goods from truck and moves to proper staging area and assists team members with distribution of goods.10. Maintains a clean and safe environment.11. Completes accurate daily and weekly records when assigned.12.
