Job summary

Goodwill Industries Manasota is seeking a Donation Center Attendant at our Centergate location in Sarasota, FL. This full-time role puts you at the first point of contact for donors, delivering friendly service while helping unload donations and process them in line with our mission.

You will record donor information, ensure clean, safe site operations, and support transportation or site tasks as needed. Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 lbs, lift safety, and work flexible shifts

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, or different locations.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and courteously, assisting with unloading donations and providing tax receipts.
• Accurately record donor information and maintain daily donation counts.
• Sort donations into appropriate categories (saleable, salvage, or trash).
• Keep the donation site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Safeguard all donated items and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Support transportation or site operations as needed and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
