The Salvation Army in United States, MS seeks a part-time warehouse associate to load and unload donated merchandise, evaluate items for storage, and prepare donation receipts. You will interact with donors in a friendly, courteous manner and assist customers as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include sorting items into bins, maintaining inventory accuracy, and following established policies. Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs is required; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Schedule/Hours: Mon-Wed. 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Thursday – OFF Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (29.00 hours weekly – this is a PART-TIME POSITION)YOU MUST COMPLETE THE SALVATION ARMY APPLICATION AT WWW.SALVATIONARMYCAREERS.ORG.This position is responsible for:Receives and loads donated merchandise from donors.Ensures donated merchandise is unloaded into the warehouse in an orderly manner.Evaluates the donated merchandise and ensures the proper storage and protection of the donated merchandise.Prepares accurate donation receipts for customersKey Responsibilities:Sorts donated items into bins or storage containers; interact with all donors in a friendly and courteous manner.Ensures that all donated merchandise is accounted for, secured and processed in accordance with Salvation Army established policies and procedures.Maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating and otherwise interacting in a manner supportive of good relations with customers, clients, co-workers and management.Perform other job-related responsibilities and tasks (other than those stated in this job description) as directed by management.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to successfully and effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in the English language.Ability to interact with public and staff in a positive manner.Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) merchandise, materials, and supplies frequently. Ability to push or pull heavy (50-75 lbs.) merchandise, materials, and supplies occasionally.
