Hudson Elms Nursing Home is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Director of Nursing (DON). The DON will oversee the nursing department, ensure high-quality resident care, and lead a team of Unit Managers, Clinical Nurses, and Nurse Assistants.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio
• 2 years of nurse management experience
• Available to work varying hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care laws and regulations

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, organizing and directing the nursing department
• Supervise Unit Managers, Clinical Nurses, and Nurse Assistants
• Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing care and resident care policies
• Maintain compliant medical records and documentation systems
• Recruit and hire nursing staff according to staffing plan
• Develop operating budgets for the nursing department
• Participate in facility quality improvement activities
• Provide in-service education and participate in department meetings
• Maintain communication with residents, families, internal staff and external community
