Southern Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tulsa, OK, is seeking an energetic Director of Nursing with a go-getter attitude. This is a part-time position offering comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.

Essential Functions of Director of Nursing (DON):
  1. Provide personal care to residents ensuring safety and comfort, adhering to policies and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  3. Oversee nursing services 24/7.
  4. Maintain job descriptions for nursing staff.
  5. Support cultural practices that do not interfere with medical therapy.
  6. Adjust staffing plans for optimal resident care.
  7. Document and report incidents and accidents.
  8. Represent nursing on various committees.
  9. Conduct daily rounds and participate in performance improvement.
  10. Coordinate interdisciplinary resident care.
  11. Ensure proper assessments, pain management, and resident independence.
  12. Maintain a safe environment and functional equipment.
  13. Lead and role model team behavior.
  14. Follow abuse prevention policies.
  15. Notify physicians of resident condition changes and follow up.
  16. Implement resident care plans and attend meetings.
  17. Manage budgets and control costs.
  18. Supervise infection control procedures.
  19. React decisively in emergencies.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  2. Current RN licensure in Oklahoma.
  3. Current BLS CPR certification.
  4. Preferred: 5 years nursing management experience.
  5. Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  6. Knowledge of clinical staff training techniques.
