Dominion House Program Manager – Schenectady, NY

Dominion House is a short‑term, stabilization group home located in Schenectady, NY. The Program Manager provides leadership and supervision to staff and clients onsite, overseeing a program that serves 12 adults with severe mental illness and co‑occurring disorders such as substance use and chronic homelessness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide program oversight, including evaluation of client referrals, admission processes, and coordination with service providers and family members to ensure client‑centered, transition‑focused services.
  • Administer Medicaid billable services, maintain regulatory compliance, and oversee the safety and comfort of the community residence.
  • Manage the program budget and oversee financial operations.
  • Train, develop, and supervise 10 staff members, including two Assistant Program Directors/Managers; share on‑call duties on a rotating basis.
  • Ensure the group home is maintained in a safe and healthy manner with client and team assistance.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Provide transportation to clients using agency vehicles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred; extensive experience in human services with education may be considered.
  • Three years’ experience in a residential setting with individuals who have a mental illness diagnosis.
  • Two years’ supervisory experience required.
  • Valid and insurable driver’s license; personal vehicle required for business use when not transporting clients.
  • Experience with electronic records.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and prevention.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm, with rotating on‑call duties.
  • Annual salary: $69,992.00.
