Domiciliary Care Assistant (NO TRAVEL AS ALL ON-SITE) – Bank

Richmond Villages Wood Norton, Evesham Road, Worcestershire, WR11 4TY. SatNav WR11 4YB.

Pay: £12.75 per hour. Paid breaks

Hours: Bank. Various flexible hours which could include 08:00-20:00, 08:00-14:00, 14:00-20:00 and 16:00-20:00 weekdays & weekends, subject to business needs. Nights may be required 20:00-08:00.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing and continence care in their own homes within the Village, championing dignity and independence.
• Supporting at mealtimes where appropriate; serving meals, aiding walking, transferring in a wheelchair or using a hoist.
• Helping to promote mental and physical activity through hobbies, interests or activities within the village.
• Answering emergency calls when care alert system is activated.
• Working with the Domiciliary Care Manager and external professionals such as GPs, Chiropodists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
• Admin duties: keeping accurate records, maintaining full documentation at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

Your experience in a care or dementia setting, or a Level 2/3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), is commendable. Passion for caring for others, honouring choices, prioritising safety and wellbeing. Excellent listening, optimistic, confident engagement with residents and families, respecting confidentiality, and a positive example for the team.
