The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is seeking a Specialized Domestic Violence Agent to supervise a DV caseload under general supervision. The position is entirely on-site in a state government setting, focusing on professional communication within the department and with community service providers.

Required are a bachelor’s degree with DV-related coursework or equivalent, plus probation or law enforcement experience; ongoing trainings and certification are

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ hours in social/behavioral sciences and probation/parole experience.
• Substitutions: associate’s degree with 2 years related law enforcement experience (Class 1/OLSP).
• Alternative: high school diploma with 4 years military or certified law enforcement experience (Class 1/OLSP).
• Certification by Law Enforcement Training Council; must be Class-1 certified.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as first line of supervision for a Domestic Violence caseload.
• Maintain professional communication networks inside and outside the Department.
• Promote public relations within the local community and with service providers.
• Maintain knowledge of all DV supervision programs, policies and protocols.
• Participate in trainings and maintain requirements for Domestic Violence Certification.
