Under supervision of the Residential Services Coordinator and direction of the Program Director, the Food Services Manager prepares and provides nutritious meals for Center residents and maintains cleanliness and safety of facility kitchens, pantries, and dining areas according to health code standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares meals for Center residents in accordance with all State Health Department rules and regulations, ensuring proper food preparation, storage, and service temperatures.
  2. Provides three meals and light snacks daily for all residents, including special events such as birthday parties and holiday celebrations. Ensures menus meet nutritional standards and accommodate cultural diversity and special dietary needs.
  3. Prepares initial orders for food, supplies, and consumables in consultation with the Residential Services Coordinator, and reports any irregularities or issues promptly.
  4. Maintains cleanliness of kitchens, dining rooms, and storage areas, including all food work areas and equipment, ensuring refrigerators are clean and organized.
  5. Reports equipment malfunctions and supply issues immediately. Manages stock by matching stock to invoices and organizing storage.
  6. Interacts professionally with residents, children, staff, vendors, and visitors. Assists residents with kitchen duties and secures kitchen areas as needed.
  7. Keeps accurate records of meals and snacks served to residents and staff.
  8. Attends staff meetings and contributes to a positive therapeutic environment.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent, with at least three years of experience in food service.
  2. Knowledge of State Health regulations and possession of a current Food Service license.

Starting pay: $24/hour
