In this position, you will coordinate key elements related to Domestic Logistics, supporting approximately 5,000 official drop-off locations, managing shipments, and handling all related invoices. A day in the life of a Domestic Logistics Associate:

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel is at the center of all we do! We start each day with devotions and prayer, hear from staff members from both our IHQ and global offices, and listen to a guest speaker encouraging us in God's word. We then pray for one another, staff, and volunteers worldwide. We get paid to start each day this way!

As a Domestic Logistics Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Him
  • Coordinate shipments for Domestic Logistics, including shoeboxes, Gifts-in-Kind, and shipments related to packing parties or promotional events
  • Review carrier invoices for accuracy for DL managers to approve
  • Support and monitor entries into the OCC Truck Coordinator database (LTS), ensuring accuracy by staff and volunteers
  • Manage the Samaritan's Purse/Operation Christmas Child Collection Center information on our website and MyOCC App, including address details, open dates, hours, and contact numbers
  • Oversee the Drop-off Kit process, including material preparation, assembly, palletizing, and shipment of approximately 5,000 kits, as well as managing staff involved in this process (lifting up to 30 lbs.)
  • Assist in collecting and disseminating Drop-off Closure Packet information, including volunteer logs, drop-off logs, and evaluation forms
  • Participate in daily devotions and prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or 1-2 years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Job Details:

Location: Operation Christmas Child, Charlotte, NC

Type: Seasonal Full-time (July - December 2025)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm (varies during National Collection Week)

Language: Fluency in English required

Travel: Possible 2 overnight stays in Boone, NC
