Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a motivated Domestic Assistant to join the Nairn Hospital Domestic Services team. The role involves cleaning in wards, clinics, treatment rooms, offices and public areas to maintain infection prevention and control standards. Uniform and PPE are provided, with access to the workplace pension scheme and generous holiday entitlement.

Hours are 15 per week, Monday to Friday, 5pm to 8pm. Previous experience is desirable, and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean wards, clinics, treatment rooms, offices and public areas to ensure Infection Prevention & Control standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness across the hospital environment in line with policy.
• Follow uniform, PPE and safety guidelines.
• Support the Domestics team to ensure high standards of cleanliness.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join the team of domestics within Nairn Hospital Domestic Services Department.

Duties include cleaning within wards, clinics and treatment rooms, offices and public areas to ensure compliance with Infection Prevention & Control.

Band 2 Domestic Assistant

The hours for this post are 15hrs per week – Monday to Friday 5pm - 8pm.

Previous experience desirable although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

You will need to be flexible, committed and have a positive attitude to your work.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
