Stride, Inc. is seeking a Business Data Specialist to develop and maintain domain-specific data products that enable operational reporting, compliance, funding, and analytics.

You will work across Data Engineering, Governance, Analytics, and business teams to ensure data is accurate, traceable, and well-documented. The role emphasizes technical data skills and business process understanding in a home-based setting.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of relevant professional experience with data analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with data analysis, modeling, design and documentation
• Experience in developing reports and/or dashboards with MS Access, MS Power BI, Excel
• Knowledge of SQL
• Ability to communicate technology concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and clear background check

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance domain-specific data products and data models using dbt and Snowflake to support reporting, analytics, compliance, funding, and business processes.
• Partner with Data Domains to define enterprise data requirements for data products.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with emphasis on maintainability.
• Design and implement solutions for complex ad hoc data requests and reusable data assets.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and quality assurance for production data.
• Investigate data quality and production issues and collaborate on sustainable fixes.
• Create and maintain configuration-driven solutions to simplify complex business rules and ensure validation of settings.
