Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Business Data Specialist to develop and maintain domain-specific data products, focusing on dbt models and Snowflake. You will validate data quality, respond to complex data requests, and ensure audit-ready lineage across operational reporting and analytics.

You will partner with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions while supporting compliance and funding analytics.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional data analysis experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience communicating with teachers and school leaders
• MS365 proficient
• Experience in developing reports/dashboards with MS Access/Power BI/Excel
• SQL knowledge and ability to explain tech concepts
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and pass background checks

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance domain-specific data products and models using dbt and Snowflake
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Validate data quality and perform root-cause analysis for production issues
• Create and maintain data configuration-driven solutions and metadata
• Document data definitions, rules, and lineage for audit readiness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance and performance
