Job summary

203 Pet Service, LLC in Fairfield, CT is seeking a reliable dog walker and pet sitter to join our team. Most visits are private walks and potty breaks, handled one-on-one for each pet. You’ll start part time, covering weekday visits 10:30 AM–2:30 PM and some weekends/holidays.

We train you first, then you work independently while staying connected with the team. We pay per appointment with a guaranteed minimum of $17.50/hour including drive time, plus fuel reimbursement, weekly direct deposit,

Qualifications

• Age 25 or older.
• Hands-on experience with dogs and cats required; owning a pet counts.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.
• Smartphone you’re comfortable using.
• Willingness to complete pet first aid and CPR course (paid by us).
• Background check and drug test clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one visits with dogs and cats, no group walks.
• Private walks and potty breaks, 10:30 AM–2:30 PM, Mon–Fri.
• Cover weekend visits, holidays, and pet sitting when clients need them.
• Check in/out via phone app; provide photo and a short note to owners.

203 Pet Service has cared for dogs and cats in Fairfield and the towns around it for over 20 years. We're looking for a reliable, kind person to join our team as a dog walker and pet sitter.

What the work looks like

Most visits at first are private walks and potty breaks between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You'll also cover weekend visits, holidays, and pet sitting visits when your clients need them.

Every visit is one on one with the pet. No group walks. You check in and out on a phone app, and each owner gets a photo and a short note from you.

You'll start part time. We'll build your route with clients who live close together whenever we can. Our goal is to grow your hours over time as our schedule grows. We train you on the routines before you go out on your own.

You're the main person for your clients. That includes their weekend visits, and pet sitting when they travel. We're a team and we back each other up when someone is sick or has an emergency, but your clients count on you first.

What you earn

• Paid per appointment, set up to earn you at least $17.50 an hour, including drive time between visits, and never less than Connecticut minimum wage.
• Plus fuel reimbursement.
• Paid weekly by direct deposit.
• Paid leave as Connecticut law requires.
• Once you've shown you're a great fit, you'll have the chance to move to a salary when one is offered.
• Our dog walkers and pet sitters are W-2 employees, not independent contractors.
• We pay for the pet first aid and CPR course we choose for you. Already certified? That's a big plus. Most of our team is certified.

Where

You'll be able to cover visits in any town we serve: Fairfield, Stratford, Westport, Easton, Southport, Black Rock, and Bridgeport, plus parts of Shelton, Devon, Trumbull, Weston, and Wilton. Most visits on your route will be in Fairfield.

What you'll need
