Job summary

Canine Companions For Independence in Seattle seeks an Instructor Assistant to support our training program and learn under experienced instructors. The role requires temporary relocation to Santa Rosa, CA for a 6–9 month apprenticeship with housing provided at no cost. After apprenticeship, the position will be based in Seattle.

Salary is $21.30 per hour. This full-time role offers growth opportunities as you progress toward additional responsibilities within our mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks with good time management.
• Willingness to follow training instructions and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Canine care & health management in kennels and training areas.
• Safely support clients and dogs, following safety procedures.
• Assist in program development and public representations.
