Responsibilities

• Feed dogs based on individual diets and schedules.
• Ensure fresh, clean water is always available.
• Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to senior staff.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, feeding bowls, and play areas.
• Maintain indoor/outdoor training area cleanliness.
• Handle and dispose of pet waste responsibly during let-outs.
• Let dogs out for bathroom breaks on a rotating schedule.
• Supervise dogs during playtime or outdoor exercise.
• Assist with leash walking or group play sessions (as directed).
• Restock food, treats, and cleaning supplies.
• Wash and fold laundry (dog beds, towels, etc.).
• Help with dog check-in/out and occasional client communication.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who loves dogs and wants to gain hands‑on experience in the dog training industry. As a Training Apprentice, you will assist with the daily care, supervision, and enrichment of our training dogs while maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment.

Base Salary/Pay:

$16.50/hour

• Feed dogs based on individual diets and schedules

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Prior experience working with dogs (shelter, daycare, pet sitting, etc.)
• Interest in becoming a professional trainer in the future
