Job summary

Skiptown in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Dog Care Attendant in a Full-Time or Part-Time role with weekends required. You will support Social Skippers, monitor dog playgroups, enforce safety rules, assist guests with memberships and events, and help maintain a clean, ready park throughout your shift.

You should enjoy working with dogs of all sizes, read body language to keep groups safe, be a team player, stay calm under pressure, and thrive in a lively outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Support Social Skippers during shifts, assigning tasks and ensuring park standards are met.
• Monitor dog playgroups and redirect or manage behavior as needed.
• Enforce park rules and safety guidelines consistently and fairly.
• Assist guests with questions about memberships, services, and events.
• Maintain park cleanliness, organization, and readiness during shifts.
• Document and report incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns accurately.
• Communicate updates and on-shift needs to the Park Supervisor.
• Assist with special events, promotions, and park activities to create a fun atmosphere.

What You’ll Do:

• Support Social Skippers during shifts, assigning tasks and ensuring park standards are met

• Enforce park rules and safety guidelines consistently and fairly
• Assist guests with questions about memberships, services, and upcoming events
• Maintain park cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness throughout shifts
• Document and report incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns accurately
• Communicate updates and on-shift needs to the Park Supervisor
• Assist with special events, promotions, and park activities to create a fun, engaging atmosphere

Musts & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for 8–10 hours per shift
• Ability to safely lift and handle dogs up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Tolerance for loud noise, pet hair, dirt, and cleaning chemicals
