Job summary

Skiptown in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Pet Care Team Member to support our daycare and boarding programs. You will supervise playgroups, guide pups with calm body language, monitor wellbeing, and provide meals and enrichment while logging activities in our custom Skiptown app.

You must stay attentive to pup safety, follow cleaning protocols, and communicate observations with your team. This fast-paced role requires reliability, teamwork, and a passion for dogs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with indoor/outdoor work in all conditions.
• Experience with dogs preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead playgroups and rotate pups by size and playstyle.
• Use calm body language to redirect behavior and keep groups safe.
• Monitor pups' body language, appetite, mood, and stress signals.
• Deliver meals and enrichment, log activities in the app.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and joyful space following protocols.
• Communicate observations and needs clearly with teammates and leaders.
• Keep pups and team calm, happy, and thriving.

Charlotte, NC | Hourly | Full-Time | Availability needed: PM shift 1:30pm-9:30pm and/or AM shift 5:45am-2:00pm

What You'll Do

• Leading playgroups and rotating pups through rest and play based on their size and playstyle
• Using calm and intentional body language to proactively redirect behavior and maintain safe group dynamics
• Monitoring each pup's body language, appetite, mood, and signs of stress or illness
• Delivering meals and enrichment services while tracking everything in our custom Skiptown app
• Keeping our space clean, safe, and joyful, following exacting cleaning protocols
• Communicating observations and needs clearly with teammates and leaders
• Keeping pups (and your team!) calm, happy, and thriving

Musts & Physical Requirements

• Ability to be on your feet and physically active for 8+ hours
• Comfortable lifting pups and supplies up to 50 lbs
• Okay working indoors/outdoors, rain or shine, loud or messy
• Resilient to hair, dirt, drool, and the occasional launching pup
