We are looking to add a Professional Groomer to our team at Club Fetch.

CORE RESPONSIBILITES (can include but are not limited to):

1. Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
2. Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.
3. Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have.
4. Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.
5. Routinely cleaning work areas.
6. Recommending suitable products to pet owners.
7. Answering any questions clients may have with a friendly attitude.
8. Keep the receptionist informed about pets that are ready for pick-up.
9. Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Professional grooming experience is required.
2. Displays a professional manner at all times.
3. The ability to work under pressure while still following proper procedure.
4. Time management skills, patience, and a positive attitude.
5. Ability to operate a phone, computer and learn facility software.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Familiarity with animal behavior, body posture and hair textures.
8. Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family!

Physical:

1. Bathing requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting more than 50 lbs.
2. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal hair/fecal matter, hot/cold temperatures and getting wet.

PAY: YOU can CHOOSE

1. Start at an hourly wage for 60 days before changing to the commission terms listed below.
2. OR
3. Hire on at 50% commission (or 40% commission if you are working with a bather thus allowing you to groom more dogs).
4. 30% on basic baths if applicable.
