Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our successful grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. Additional duties include trimming nails, cleaning ears, detangling hair, and ensuring pets look and feel their best. Responsibilities

• Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
• Bathe dogs and dry coats
• Execute various clipping techniques and style requests
• Examine for parasites or skin conditions
• Trim nails
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
• Follow strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
• Comfortable working with anxious animals
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift dogs over 60 pounds
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
• Effective communication skills with coworkers and pet owners
• Strong attention to detail
