Job description

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Dog Groomers to join our locally owned salon. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in pet care, ensuring that pets receive high-quality grooming services in a safe and comfortable environment. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of pets while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Handle animals safely and with care, using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
• Familiarity with various breeds of dogs, including their specific grooming requirements.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Pet Grooming Certification is a plus but not required.
