Job summary

WagMore Animal Hospital LLC in St. Charles, MO is seeking a positive Dog Daycare and Boarding Attendant to join our caring team. You will supervise daycare play, care for boarded dogs, feed and monitor health, and help with bathing and grooming as needed.

You’ll maintain clean kennels and play areas, assess dog behavior for safe group interactions, and share daily updates with owners and veterinary staff. Weekend and holiday availability is appreciated in this friendly, animal-first workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor dogs during daycare play sessions to ensure safe and positive interactions
• Provide attentive care for boarded dogs, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
• Maintain clean and sanitary kennel, play area, and facility environments through regular cleaning and disinfecting
• Assess dog behavior and temperament to ensure compatibility during group play
• Communicate daily updates and observations to pet owners and veterinary staff
• Assist with dog handling, bathing, and basic grooming as needed
• Follow established safety protocols and animal handling procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Genuine love for dogs and experience working with or caring for animals
• Ability to read and respond to dog body language and behavior cues
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal safety and well-being
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in a kennel, veterinary, or pet care setting is a plus
