Job summary

Kennelwood Pet Resorts is seeking a Part-Time Dog Day Camp Counselor for our St. Louis, MO location during the summer season.

You will guide dogs through age- and size-appropriate activities, supervise play groups, and ensure a clean, safe camp area while greeting pet parents at drop-off and pick-up. Responsibilities include leading enrichment activities, handling dogs of various sizes, and potential cross-training in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Lift at least 40 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs on occasion.
• Walk dogs of all sizes on leashes.
• Comfortable around pet hair and dander.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• No experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide dogs in camp with exercise and enrichment.
• Supervise group play sessions.
• Maintain a clean camp yard and clean up after dogs.
• Greet pet parents upon drop off and pick up.
• Walk dogs for placement in correct activity.
• May be cross-trained in other departments.
