Job summary

Amentum in Ft. Meade, MD is seeking a Senior Unified Capabilities (UC) Engineer to support DoD IT capabilities and secure communications across classified networks.

The role requires deep UC expertise, leadership of a UC engineering team, and the ability to design, implement, and test voice and video solutions while adhering to DoD security standards. A Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years IT engineering experience, with 10+ years UC
• DoD/classified UC deployments and secure designs
• Experience with Cisco UC platforms and voice gateways
• CCNP Collaboration and DoD 8570 baseline certification requirements

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise in UC and collaboration technologies for large-scale deployments
• Lead a UC engineering team developing secure prototypes for DoD use on classified networks
• Define architecture and interface specifications compliant with UCR and STIGs
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, security engineers, and network teams
• Develop lab testing, PoC demos, and field evaluations
