Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator in Charleston, SC to support DoD operations. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and will involve maintaining IT systems, security tooling, and user support in a CONUS office setting.

Responsibilities include Windows/AD administration, patch management, firewall/IDS/IPS maintenance, and end-user training. Travel and security compliance are part of the job, with potential for SCLS/SCA considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems or higher.
• Minimum seven (7) years experience with Master’s or 11 years with Bachelor’s degree of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain IT systems, including hardware, software, network accounts, OS upgrades, and local web interfaces.
• Administer and support cybersecurity tools, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewalls, antivirus and IDS/IPS.
• Provide user support and training, assisting staff with IT-related issues and software usage.
• Perform Windows OS support, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting of desktops and servers.
• Utilize Active Directory for account management and permissions.
• Support basic networking functions and VDI connectivity.
• Troubleshoot issues using logs, event history, and version control.
