Hourly Rate: $54–$70/hour DOE (10‑99 or FTE Available) Traveling and lodging paid (based on experience)

In this role, you will lead the transformation of mission‑critical network infrastructure, supporting both NIPR and SIPR environments across Air Force bases. What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end network modernization efforts, from site surveys through design, implementation, and sustainment
- Conduct comprehensive infrastructure assessments and identify modernization opportunities
- Design and deploy complex wired and wireless Base Area Network (BAN) solutions
- Support and maintain NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments with high availability and security
- Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting critical network issues and outages
- Translate customer requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance performance and resilience
- Lead network documentation efforts, including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs
- Mentor and oversee junior engineers, ensuring high‑quality deliverables
- Participate in technical design reviews and provide expert recommendations
What You Bring
- CCNP certification (required)
- Proven experience in enterprise or DoD network engineering environments
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, and wireless technologies
- Experience supporting or working within NIPR/SIPR or similarly secure environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex implementations while maintaining operational continuity
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in high‑pressure environments
- Experience with network assessment tools, monitoring systems, and documentation best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams
