Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of the internship program.
  • Providing professional development, networking, and training focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer engagement, and core responsibilities.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • At least 180 days of active duty service
  • Within 12 months of separation or retirement
  • Honorable discharge
  • Participation in TAPS/TGPS and ethics briefings
  • Written approval from Unit Commander

We are hiring for a Principal Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support the design and development of ground systems for the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) low earth orbit constellation in Redondo Beach, CA.

What you’ll do

Support the design, modeling, and development of space ground systems, interact with stakeholders, define technical baselines, and drive program milestones to meet mission objectives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure system compliance with requirements and manage scope.
  • Lead requirement decomposition, architecture, and interface definition.
  • Identify and analyze technical gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and serve as a technical point of contact.
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree in STEM with relevant experience (varies by level)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience in systems engineering functions and designing software systems
  • Proficiency with CAMEO and strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s in Systems Engineering or related certifications
  • Experience mentoring engineers and working with Agile tools
