Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks experienced personnel to support MCISR‑E systems, perform field service, training, and on-site deployments in support of Marine Corps operations.

The role requires strong DCGS-MC knowledge, field experience, and the ability to deliver technical instruction and hands-on support across networks, installations, and system administration. Willingness to deploy and adapt to non-traditional hours is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting MCISR‑E systems with field expertise.
  • Understanding of MCISR‑E operations, networks, and maintenance needs.
  • Ability to provide system network support: configuration, site integration, installation, and WAN/LAN ops.
  • Experience in system administration focused on readiness, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Role as primary system operator and on-site field service support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver over-the-shoulder, remedial, new equipment, unit sustainment, and classroom training on system ops and networks.
  • Provide RITC instructor services: analysis, evaluations, and exercise support.
  • Support software/hardware integration, burn-in testing, QA for forces deploying to theaters.
  • Participate in IPTs, working groups, and engineering review boards.
  • Support fielding plans, meet Turn-Around-Time requirements, and on-site deployment needs.
  • Analyze operational activities to support decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Provide day-to-day operations support, including upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting.

Description
  • Providing support to Marine Corps System Command Project Offices and the Regional Intelligence Training Center (RITC) that includes software deployment, system interoperability, hardware analysis and evaluation of future upgrades to new and existing Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Enterprise (MCISR-E) systems, training and fielding support
  • Providing on-site Field Service Support, training and help desk support which may include deployment to an active combat zone and/or working non-traditional business hours to support Marine Corps operations

Requirements
Technical & Operational Expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical support to MCISR‑E systems using personal technical knowledge, operational experience, and proven field expertise

  • Specialized understanding of MCISR‑E system operations, technical processes, maintenance requirements, networks, and advanced operational techniques to ensure full exploitation of system capabilities

  • Ability to provide system network assistance, including MCISR‑E configuration support, site integration, site installation, and LAN/WAN operations and maintenance

  • Experience delivering system administration support focused on system readiness, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting

  • Capability to serve as the primary system operator, supporting operational setup and resolving issues as they arise

Training & Instruction
  • Ability to deliver over‑the‑shoulder, Remedial, New Equipment, Unit Sustainment, and Classroom Training on system operations, networks, and administration

  • Experience providing RITC instructor services, including Task Analysis, Functional Requirements review, application/segment evaluations, exercise support, Mobile Training Team support, software beta testing, systems refresh training, and review of Joint training materials

Engineering, Integration & Testing
  • Experience supportingsoftware/hardware integration, burn‑in testing, quality assurance, and technical support for forces deploying to active theaters

  • Ability to participate in Integrated Product Teams, working groups, configuration control boards, and engineering review groups

  • Capability to conduct emerging technology assessments and provide recommendations for integrating new or improved MCISR‑E capabilities

Fielding & Deployment Support
  • Ability to provide fielding support in accordance with Program Fielding Plans

  • Commitment to meeting established Turn‑Around‑Time (TAT) requirements

  • Willingness to provide on‑site Field Service Support, training, and helpdesk support, including potential deployment to active combat zones and working non‑traditional hours in support of Marine Corps operations

Analytical & Research Skills
  • Ability to analyze actual or predictive operational activities or systems to support decision‑making and resource allocation

  • Experience conducting research and analysis to enhance technical and economic development of MCISR‑E systems

  • Capability to support test events, including observation, data collection, storage, reduction, analysis, problem identification, and report preparation

Operational Support
  • Ability to support day‑to‑day operations, including equipment upgrades, installations, training, and technical troubleshooting

  • Experience providing on‑site technical analysis and support to MCISR‑E programs

Desired Skills
  • 3-5 years of military experience or working directly with related military systems
  • Technical Training in C4ISR Systems Administration, C4ISR Network Administration, or C4ISR Hardware Maintenance
  • Eight or more years of direct experience supporting Distributed Common Ground Surface System – Marine Corps (DCGS-MC) programs, projects, or initiatives with:
  • Demonstrated expertise with DCGS-MC during exercises, training events, and while forward deployed
  • Demonstrated Training and Instruction experience in a class-room and field environment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide specialized knowledge and skill of the operation, technical processes, and maintenance requirements for DCGS-MC to include network connectivity, administration and advanced operational techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to provide system network support to DCGS-MC configuration, site integration, site installation, and operations and maintenance of Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide system administration support to DCGS-MC focusing on operational readiness
  • Demonstrated ability to provide system operations support to DCGS-MC as the primary system operator or while providing over-the-shoulder support
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge sufficient to conduct New Equipment Training, Unit Training, and Classroom Instruction ensuring operators, maintainers, and system administrators understand how to use and support the DCGS-MC to maximize operational capability and minimize system downtime
  • Demonstrated ability to provide Level 1 Helpdesk Support
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Marine Corps’ Systems Approach to Training and Marine Corps Order 1553.1b
  • Working knowledge in the following:
    • Tactical and shipboard network architectures, transport layers, and communications systems
    • VM’s routers, and network switches
    • Shipboard and shore-based GBS
    • CANES and ISE
    • All FMV platforms and the their transport layers
    • Marine Corps method of providing POI’s
    • DGSIT process
    • MEU TTP’s
    • Marine Corps, Navy, and DOD Cyber Security policies and procedures
