Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is seeking individuals for technical support roles involving aircraft avionics maintenance at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Candidates must have a minimum of four years' experience in maintenance or related fields. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, supporting testing, and assisting junior technicians.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, testing, modification, assembly, and maintenance and repair of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment.
• Evaluate components, subsystems, test equipment, and software.
• Provide technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment.
• Perform aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment.
• Support aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations.
• Assist in training junior-level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years’ aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent DoD SIGINT experience.
• Must be able to operate as a single maintainer.

Desired Skills

• Eight or more years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems.
• Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure.
• Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts.
• Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures.
• CompTIA Security+ certified. If not certified, earn certification within one year.

Clearance Information

U.S. citizenship required. A U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level is required for this position.

Travel Requirements

• 10–25% CONUS travel.
