Role
Cummins will consider any Active duty member eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program. However, for immediate consideration, we are looking for Military members to fill the following role:
- Field Service Diesel Technician - Omaha, NE
Responsibilities

- Diagnostics Application - Translates customer complaints into troubleshooting plans, follows guided workflows, uses specialized mechanical and electronic tools, diagnoses software to identify failed components, validates repairs, and documents results.
- Electrical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards for working with low/high voltage, complies with safety procedures, applies electrical theories and electronics knowledge for diagnosis and repair.
- Electronic Service Tool Application - Uses hardware and software tools for service, interprets results to determine next steps.
- Mechanical Knowledge - Applies mechanical principles and standards, uses tools to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
- Product Repair and Maintenance - Repairs mechanical/electrical products, disassembles/assembles engines, inspects parts, and performs damage checks.
- Service Documentation - Records customer, equipment, and technical data accurately in systems.
- Technical Escalation - Uses resources for technical issues, escalates when necessary, and documents troubleshooting steps.
- Values differences - Appreciates diverse perspectives and cultures.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit
- Position may require licensing for export controls or sanctions compliance
Experience
- Minimal workshop-related experience required
- Basic knowledge of engine products
- Locally valid driving permit
