Job description

We are seeking a high-skilled and reliable Fiberglass technician / laminator / molder versed in preparing and applying fiberglass sheets or molds to create various components and products. This includes cutting fiberglass materials to size, mixing resin and hardeners, and applying these substances to fiberglass sheets. They use rollers or brushes to remove air pockets and ensure a smooth, even coat on molds or parts, adhering strictly to safety and quality guidelines set forth by their industry.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled technician who:

  • Has auto body repair, fiberglass repair, fabrication, or marine experience
  • Is familiar with the application of fiberglass resins and related materials
  • Furnishes hand and auto body tools required to perform daily work efficiently
  • Possesses cabinetmaking/plug and mold making skills
  • Must have less than 120 days of active duty military remaining to qualify!

Duties:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on marine and non-marine products, including fiberglass repair, gel coat matching and repair, wood structural repair, carpeting, and painting
  • Follow company procedures to provide efficient and quality repairs while maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Improve customer service quality by evaluating and modifying existing repair procedures and developing new ones as needed
  • Assist in identifying required repair processes and estimating repair times
  • Maintain strong communication with management, staff, and self
  • Continuously update job knowledge through training and reading professional trade publications
  • Other duties as assigned
