Job summary

APTIM is seeking a Compliance Specialist in Concord, California under the DoD SkillBridge program. The role supports the Solid Waste Services Group and focuses on environmental compliance across water, waste, air, and stormwater programs.

Ideal candidates have QISP credentials, a BS/MS in a related field, and 4–10 years of compliance experience. Travel to project sites and collaboration with contractors are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory compliance reports, work plans, and studies.
• Develop, implement, and manage SWPPP and SPCC plans for industrial projects.
• Conduct compliance monitoring, site inspections, and enforce SWPPP/SPCC requirements.
• Prepare environmental reports, plans, and permit applications across water, waste, air, and stormwater programs.
• Develop monitoring, training, testing, record-keeping, and reporting protocols.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
• Perform groundwater, leachate, stormwater and landfill gas sampling and testing.
• Coordinate sampling paperwork and bottle orders for events.
• Provide construction QA oversight and travel to project sites as needed.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate with contractors and clients.
