We seek a CNC Machinist 3 - Intern for our Promontory, Utah team. This is a SkillBridge Internship. Active duty military personnel transitioning in 6-9 months are encouraged to apply. Do not apply if not in the military.
As a major global security company, Northrop Grumman supports military personnel transitioning to civilian careers. About 25% of our 90,000 employees are veterans, including reservists.
The NG-MIP is an approved SkillBridge program allowing service members to gain civilian work experience during their last 6 months of service, up to 180 days.
This internship is open to all ranks and experience levels. Interns do not receive compensation from Northrop Grumman but continue military benefits.
Responsibilities include machining parts to specifications, setting up and operating CNC equipment, inspecting products, maintaining equipment, and training others in CNC operations.
Qualifications include a 2-year technical degree or certificate in machine shop technology, 2+ years of machining experience, experience with 3-axis CNC machines, and proficiency in reading blueprints and technical specifications.
Salary range: $49,900 - $83,100, based on experience and qualifications.
Additional benefits include potential overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and comprehensive health and retirement plans.
