Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a System Administrator to join the Security and Electronic team. The System Administrator will support the design, engineering, integration, operation, and maintenance of electronic security services for federal customers. There are positions available in Ft.

Belvoir and Chantilly, VA. The role requires DoD STIGs compliance, RMF/NIST controls, and strong Windows/Linux administration, plus ACAS/HBSS tooling experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 5+ years (Bachelor’s) or 3+ years (Master’s) IT, Cybersecurity, or Risk Management.
• Knowledge of DoD RMF lifecycle, NIST 800-53 controls, and supporting documentation (e.g., eMASS, POA&M).
• Hands-on experience with ACAS, HBSS, vulnerability scanning, mitigation, and STIG implementation across systems.
• Ability to assess, troubleshoot, and manage control networks and security components.
• One of the following certifications is required: CASP CE, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CSSLP, CISA, CISM, GCED, or GCIH.

Responsibilities

• Implement DoD STIGs across traditional IT and OT systems.
• Familiarity with system hardening, patch management, and STIG implementation.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows/Linux servers, network devices, and OT systems.
• Perform system hardening, patching, and configuration management per DoD STIGs and security baselines.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and document system vulnerabilities.
• Assist in network and control system troubleshooting, including firewalls, switches, and segmented OT networks.
