Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodian in Huntsville, AL to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas. The role requires a DOD/SCI clearance and offers an hourly wage of $17.50–$18.00. Responsibilities include janitorial duties, hazard waste handling, safety compliance, and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications include 3–6 months training or experience, possible forklift certification, and a valid driver’s license. No specific education required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on daily schedule.
• Handle Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collection, classification, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers.
