Job summary

Sugpiat Defense in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The role focuses on protecting DoD information systems by applying RMF, DoD cyber requirements, and continuous monitoring alongside ISSMs, engineers, and government staff.

The ideal candidate will have RMF experience, knowledge of NIST SP 800-53/37, STIGs, vulnerability management, and hands-on work with eMASS or similar RMF tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Information Assurance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity requirements for classified and unclassified systems.
• Assist with RMF activities throughout the system lifecycle.
• Maintain and update RMF documentation (SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms) and supporting artifacts.
• Perform continuous monitoring to ensure DoD cybersecurity compliance.
• Review vulnerability scans, document findings, and coordinate remediation with tech teams.
• Support implementation and validation of STIGs.
• Assist with A&A activities to maintain Authority to Operate.
• Monitor security posture and report cybersecurity risks and compliance issues.
• Support security audits, inspections, and cybersecurity assessments.
• Investigate and document cybersecurity incidents per procedures.
• Review proposed system changes for security impacts.
• Collaborate with engineers and government stakeholders to embed cybersecurity in operations.
• Prepare reports and metrics on cybersecurity compliance and monitoring.
• Stay current on DoD cybersecurity policies and threats.
