Job summary

UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies seeks a Project Manager for a recently awarded contract in Patuxent River, MD. The role requires analyzing and coordinating schedule, procurement, staffing, and budget while guiding administrative staff and serving as a client point of contact.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, with 2 years in supervision, and a strong background in DoD operations, Navy liaison, and financial management.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Management or other 'Relevant Technical Discipline'. An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/ BS.
• At least 5 years’ experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory/lead experience, including financial management and admin activities experience.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Sharepoint and the standard Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts.
• Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects.
• Must have experience supporting senior Navy and DoD leadership liaison operations, providing facilities management.
• Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service.
• Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.
• Lead and guide the work of administrative staff.
• May serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.
