Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead pricing strategy, proposal pricing, and cost/price analysis for government and defense contracts. You will shape corporate pricing policy, develop compliant bids, and collaborate with BD, Contracts, PM, and Finance on price volumes for DoD solicitations.

The role requires strong analytical and financial modeling skills, expertise in Excel, and the ability to communicate pricing strategy to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of pricing, financial analysis, or cost estimating experience with leadership.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and Excel skills; ability to build complex pricing models.
• Excellent communication skills to present pricing strategy to executives and support negotiations.
• Proven project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement pricing strategies, policies, and processes aligned with corporate plans.
• Partner with BD, Contracts, PM, and Finance to develop cost volumes and pricing models for proposals.
• Determine optimal pricing by evaluating internal/external costs, competition, and regulatory constraints.
• Build pricing models for FFP, CPFF/CPIF/CPAF, T&M, and IDIQ contracts.
• Develop Basis of Estimates, labor rate builds, and indirect rate analyses.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS/CAS/TINA compliance for pricing data in proposals.
• Prepare and present pricing analyses and risk assessments to leadership during gate reviews.
• Act as pricing SME in gate reviews; respond to ad-hoc pricing questions for executives.
• Communicate and negotiate pricing with teaming partners; ensure consistency and compliance.
• Coordinate pricing data exchange with teammates; support NDAs and teaming agreements.
• Collaborate with Contracts and PM to respond to government pricing inquiries.
• Mentor and train Pricing Analysts; other duties as assigned.
