Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Network Specialist to support the DoD DHA LAN/WAN at Fort Stewart, GA. The role involves on-site troubleshooting, incident resolution, and ensuring network services across the medical campus.

Responsibilities include operating the LAN core/edge, addressing issues across OSI layers 1–3, and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling. A DoD clearance and Security+ CE are required, with CCNA/Juniper knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Clear understanding of OSI Model Layers 1-3, including TCP/IP, VTP, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP and routing protocols.
• Familiar with firewall and VPN technologies.
• Strong experience maintaining switches/routers and troubleshooting LAN/WAN.
• Knowledge of security methodologies and DoD compliance.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• DoD security requirements and certifications are required/preferred.
• Active Secret Clearance or higher is required.
• CCNA or Juniper/Brocade experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily operational support for LAN core and edge switches across the medical network campus.
• Resolves technical issues across OSI model layers 1–3 using diagnostic tools.
• Supports routing, switching, firewalls, and related cabling throughout the network infrastructure.
• Plans, installs, and supports hardware/software upgrades and resolves associated issues.
