Job summary

Quantum Sky in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Network Specialist to support the DoD DHA LAN/WAN. The role focuses on on-site troubleshooting and ensuring critical network services across the medical network campus.

You will manage day-to-day operations of core/edge switches, troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues, maintain firewalls, and assist with hardware/software upgrades. DoD 8570.01 and Security+ CE are required, with CCNA or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of OSI Model Layers 1-3 and related protocols.
• Experience with troubleshooting LAN/WAN and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of firewall/VPN technologies.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support for the LAN core and edge switches across the medical network campus.
• Resolve network issues and routing protocol problems using diagnostic tools.
• Support routing, switching, firewalls, and cabling for the network infrastructure.
• Plan, install, and support hardware/software upgrades and resolve related issues.
